September is for Sequels Giveaway Hop

September is for Sequels Giveaway Hop

This hop celebrates sequels, be they number 2 or 42.

Hosted by Lisa Loves Literature and I'm a Reader, Not a Writer.

I love sequels.  After all, if you find a book that you like, don't you want to know what else happens after you finish it?  What comes next? Even if they ride off into the sunset of their Happily Ever After, I want to check in on them and make sure everything is still rainbows and ice cream sprinkles.

One of my favorite series recently released a new book; number 9, as a matter of fact. I am talking about Heart of Venom in the Elemental Assassins series by Jennifer Estep.  If you haven't read this series, you are totally missing out.

To encourage you, I am offering any one of the books, numbers 2 through 9, in the series from the BookDepository.  And just in case you are a fan, like myself, I am willing to do a pre-order on book 10, The Spider, which will be released at the end of the year.

Don't forget to check out the other amazing stops on this hop.

  6. Harry Dresden for the win. I have re-read these books so many times it's not even funny. But you can tell that it's so well thought out when you can go back and read book 4 again and notice hints about things that happened in book 12. Just amazing.

  29. The most recent series that I really enjoyed were Veneficas Americana by M. K. Hobson. It's kind of steampunk with magic and witches, and also alternate history. I wouldn't have picked them up, as I don't usually read steampunk, but I won the three first books in this series in a giveaway, and they're really impossible to put down. The world is very imaginative, events are unpredictable, and I just kept turning the pages, because I really cared about the characters. I can't wait for the fourth book.

  30. I love the Hollows by Kim Harrison and the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. They both are dark and gritty, and they both have amazing world building!
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  31. I loved the Gunslinger Series by Stephen King, and the Body Farm series by Dr. Bass, and Janet Evanovich's series. The Gunslinger series has everything from outstanding world building and great character development to drama, heartbreak, laughter, the gamut. Janet Evanovich brings interesting situations to murder mysteries. I love her style. Thanks for the opportunity to win. michelle_willms@yahoo.com

  32. I really can’t just pick one….I love the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews, the Chronicles of Elantra series by Michelle Sagara, The Others series by Anne Bishop, Downside Ghosts series by Stacia Kane, Black London by Caitlin Kittredge, the In Death series by J.D. Robb and the Alex Craft series by Kalayna Price. The reason why is the same reason why I love the Gin Blanco series -- they all have strong female protagonists who can take care of themselves and kick some butt along the way!

    Thanks for the amazing giveaway!
